To Define Equipment/Raceway UDAs

The procedure below can be used to define User Defined Attributes (UDAs) for both Equipment and Raceway components.
  1. Open the Options dialog and click the UDA Settings selection.
  2. Click either the Equipment UDAs or Raceway UDAs tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter a new Name for the UDA.
  5. Expand the arrow under the Name field to display the UDA properties.
  6. Define values for the following attribute properties:
    • Mandatory
    • Default value
    • Class
    Note: Refer to either the Equipment UDAs or Raceway UDAs help for detailed information on the UDA properties.
  7. Once the properties have been defined, click Apply to save the attribute.
  8. Continue to define new attributes, or, if finished in the Options dialog, click OK to close. Once a new UDA is added to the raceway catalog, it can be associated when routing raceways:
    Newly added UDA attributes are automatically available in the Properties dialog and those attributes will be included in i-model and reports.
